Band Bio
Five distinct musical backgrounds. Five very different personalities. Five lead vocalists. Incredible chemistry. Five diverse people found each other and have created their own sound known as damnedifiknow. After over 20 years each, of playing in different bands, in different genres, Chris Scott, Luanne Carl, Russ Carl, Kent Nixon and Scott Mcknight found each other, and started a band. The rest as they say is history. The group got to know each other from being the back up band for a local variety show known as the Stettler Country Music Jamboree for the past several years. After being the back up band and learning so many songs, they decided to branch out, and put all that hard work to use. After playing separately in many different groups this brought an amazing amount of talent and diversity to this group. From a couple of country crooners, to a couple of rockers and an upside down left handed guitar player, damnedifiknow has it all, including a female bassist, and vocalist. All five in the band sing lead, and sing everything from Johnny Cash, Tracy Byrd and Gretchen Wilson to The Rolling Stones and The Tragically Hip. damnedifknow also prides themselves in their original music, and love performing it to their live audiences, with incredible results. damnedifiknow prides themselves on their diversity, and on having five lead vocalists. They are a favorite in their neck of the woods, as you never know what you will hear them play, and you never know who will be singing. The chemistry between them is electric, and what they create together is amazing. Their harmony is second to none, as they all sing, and have been compared to such artists as the Eagles. But damnedifiknow likes to think they have their own unique sound and flavor. Fans young and old love to come out and listen to their music, which is always evident at their shows with the full dance floors, and most recently their sold out CD release show. damnedifiknow also has awesome songwriting abilities as well, with four original tracks on their current CD. Everything.....under the sun, was released as a stepping stone to show fans and promoters, just how diverse and talented this group of five are. Everything from Chris Isaaks Wicked Game Neil Youngs Old Man and Paul Brandts I'm Gonna Fly was covered on this CD, as well as the four originals, Alone, Pickin Buddy, Hillbilly and Backroads. They are planning their next CD to be all original material. From picking and singing around the campfire, to rodeo's, festivals, and corporate functions, damnedifiknow can do it all, and is ready to do it all. They have a passion for music unlike many, and with such a diverse group, they are sure to please. Who are they? damnedifiknow.... A little bit of everything..... Everything under the sun.....
